How we install carpet on stairs

Then we install fresh 8-pound rebond padding, tackless strips along each tread and riser, and stretch the carpet with a knee kicker and power stretcher so it stays tight for years. Every seam is heat-bonded - no visible joints, no fraying at the nosing.
